"Tosa Washi" is a traditional craft of Kochi Prefecture that is considered one of the three major Japanese paper types, along with "Mino Washi" from Gifu Prefecture and "Echizen Washi" from Fukui Prefecture. It is extremely thin and soft, yet also has excellent durability.
In addition to its beautiful dyeing techniques, it is available in a wide variety of colors, thicknesses, and manufacturing methods, making it often used for the restoration of important cultural properties.
