Why is it strong?
Why is it durable and tear-resistant?
The raw material for Tosa washi paper is the fiber of a tree called kozo .
While the pulp used in Western paper is less than 1mm in length, the fibers of kozo are overwhelmingly long, measuring 5-20mm , and when the fibers intertwine, they form a strong bond.
Handmade Tosa washi paper can withstand use for up to 100 years and is often used in the restoration of important cultural properties.

*This is a plan where the customer provides the design and it is printed.
You will actually make your own A3-sized Japanese paper, which can be used to submit your marriage registration.
We will ask you to make 3 to 4 sheets, and then we will print the marriage registration design you brought in on the best two sheets and give them to you.
*The edges of the paper will be cut off and neatly delivered to you.
Process
Production flow
- Once you have made your reservation, we will send you an email with instructions. Please reply with the design data you would like to print at least one week before the experience date . We will check in advance whether the data can be printed without any problems.
- Time required on the day: 60-90 minutes
- After the general explanation, each participant will have the opportunity to try their hand at papermaking. There will also be a challenge where two participants work together to make paper.
- Don't worry, you can try several times until you get it right.
- After the sheets are dehydrated and dried, you can choose the two that look best. Our staff will then cut the edges and print the marriage registration form.
- You can take it home on the day.
*Depending on the printer's condition on the day, we may ship the product at a later date.
*Smartphone stands are available, so please let the staff know if you would like to take videos during the experience.

- Please prepare A3 size (420mm wide x 297mm high) Adobe Illustrator ai data (outlined), PDF data, PNG image, JPG image, or Adobe Photoshop PSD data.
- We will check the design data in advance approximately one week before the experience date, so please make your reservation well in advance.
- Whether or not a designed marriage registration form will be accepted may vary depending on the local government. We recommend checking in advance.
